Things have changed on the farm and we are currently no longer running events and gigs in our licensed barn venue...
We currently do not have any livestock except poultry, 2026 is the first year in almost 20 years with no pigs! And ourselves and the land are enjoying the rest!! Obviously we are no longer processing meat here, apart from the occasional chicken for our own table, (you don't have to buy involved in this!)...
The accommodations are varying , slightly older but functional touring caravans, with good cooking facilities, a large communal ridge/freezer, a shared gas powered campsite shower and compost toilets....if you can't handle outdoor camping life then please look elsewhere..🤗...*
At the moment we are URGENTLY looking for WWOOFERS to help with summer harvesting, planting, bed preparation for winter....and much more! We are a small mixed, family farm PREVIOUSLY producing Free range Rare breed meat.
Our animals are naturally reared outdoors to the highest welfare standards. Our business has changed and grown organically over the 13 years we have been involved with WWOOF and these days everything from seasonal fun events in our licensed barn, eco camping, sustainable firewood production and many other things all contribute to our income and activities. However after being involved with another event and hospitality business offsite for the last few years we are now back on the farm permanently and in the process of setting up a soft fruit PYO enterprise, scaling up our existing market garden to produce more fruit and veg and starting again with hens for egg production. We also have two cider orchards in conjunction with a local cidermaker, who produces really tasty cider!
Although we do not make the cider here!
Work here is always varied and interesting! After 35 years of manual labour and rugby! My body is sadly a little broken so although I'm still out there everyday, I need help with many physical tasks...so young, fit, strong, flexible! and capable volunteers most welcome!!!
A typical day on the farm could involve anything from gardening, fencing and green building projects to livestock care, firewood production and grass cutting to planting, harvesting and of course weeding!
All very rewarding work in fun and educational environment!!
Summer accomodation is mostly caravans with various set ups from completely off grid to fully hooked up...with compost toilets and gas powered campsite showers, in the winter we may have a room in a large shared house available could be available in summer months if you prefer. Your own caravan/motorhome/campervan etc is also very welcome if you are independent in this way.
We have a self catering system where we give you a weekly budget and take you shopping to choose what you like to eat, supplemented by our own farm produce, some pre made meals and frozen meals for easy quick catering and occasional family meals/bbqs with us.
We are a family/farm with many on and off farm business activities, especially during the summer period and you may have to work on your own a little bit albeit with instruction etc, with a diverse array of different types of work including animal husbandry, horticulture, building, fencing, gardening, firewood production and some boring just clearing up type jobs!!! etc...etc...etc... There are also other local producers who we work in conjunction with other organic producers and bee hives/honey production.
We are very near to Pembrokeshire's unique and picturesque coastline and on your days off we can normally arrange to drop you somewhere on the coast or up in the hills to enjoy!
