Gomde is an extraordinary place. It is incredibly beautiful and offers ample opportunities to learn by doing and to meet amazingly talented and interesting people. My time there was challenging at times and people are committed and work hard. I left tired, but having learned a great deal about gardening, community... and myself!

It's hard to find the right words for this special place... I came with an unsettled mind and I'm leaving with lots of ease and only beautiful memories. I've stayed for only 10 days but it felt like home very quickly. Everyone let me feel welcome and was incredibly friendly and helpful, even though I arrived at a very busy and stressful time! I was one of the first WWOOFers but the organisation of my stay was very smooth and considerate. My tasks were widely spread and included garden, house and kitchen work... usually, I was accompanied by other volunteers or assisted the chef/cleaning team (lovely people!), it was never boring and time passed by quickly! I've learnt a lot of practical skills, but also about essential Buddhist themes - you can truly feel and practice the Dharma here! On my free days, I discovered the beautiful nature around the estate or immersed myself in the library... or simply had a chat with the beautiful people that live and/or work at the centre. It is truly a very peaceful and special place, and I just can't wait to come back again soon. Please support this centre with all the love and work you can give :)
