Thank you for all the wonderful requests. We are currently looking more specifically for WWOOFers who can help with a renovation of a cabin. Experience with electrics, tiling, laying flooring, carpentry all ideal! Thank you!
We are a family of five - with three young boys. We recently moved into a new home; an old pub situated upon 4 acres of beautiful Somerset countryside. The pub hasn’t been used for 9 years, instead the site is used for hosting glamping stays. Our backgrounds are in hospitality, but we have an amazingly talented and lovely gardener who is helping us create something special . Our aim is to create a home and a small, sustainable rural business where our children can grow up surrounded by nature, learning the value of hard work, stewardship, and community.
We are preparing an organic vegetable garden, sewing seeds for cut flowers, and have plans to plant an orchard, a wild flower meadow, natural play spaces for children, and increase the biodiversity of the site.
We would love support with growing the vegetable garden, building a willow arch, tree planting for an orchard, creating a water feature, making borders, sewing seeds for cut flowers, keeping the flower beds and working on the wider landscaping plans.
We have options for accommodation, including a guest room with en-suite and two 6x6 yurts (these have their own shower and loo units, cooking facilities, and log burners). We will provide ingredients for meals, as well as share some meals together.
I am a naturopathic nutritional therapist and qualified yoga teacher and reiki practitioner. I am relatively new to gardening but am absolutely loving learning alongside our incredible gardener. I love ceramics, Turkish pots, cooking, motherhood, walking here in Somerset, slow family time, travelling, and spending quality time with friends.
We live in a beautiful and inspiring part of the country, surrounded by glorious countryside, walks, minutes from one of the countries best cold water swimming lakes, near many places of cultural and architectural interest, and just outside the wonderful market town Frome. Seeing people working on this land is breathtakingly beautiful and so exciting - we are so inspired to be co-creating and sharing the project with supportive hands.
