WWOOF was founded in 1971 and is one of the world’s first educational and cultural exchange programs. Today, WWOOF is in more than 132 countries around the world (and growing).

My stay with Sarah was, until now and forever, the best experience that I have ever had as a woofer and as a volunteer. The picture of the house in the snow called me when I saw it for the first time. Going out at the weekends down to Wales was like a dream, even though it was just for groceries, running up to Saint Mary's church, climbing along the left on a 5-minute walk, reminded me of my child's dreams with elves in the trees. I will never forget that place, and it marked me as a person for the better. Sarah is relaxed, professional and cool at the same time, so everything is always super great with her. Amy and Daniel are kind and really, really nice, and the food is like in a restaurant in the mountains with the table, the chandeliers, the wonderfully English table and everything else. 🌲🚪🪑🍽️🍹🪞🚪🪑🛋️🛏️👗👒🖼️🚪🦋🐿️ Moreover, I had the chance to volunteer here twice and to help Sarah in her other place in London. It was perfect!! She always responds in a sec, and she gives you the opportunity. Of course, she expects the best of you, and what is amazing is that she recognises it when you prove it, and a lot of people don't have the quality to do that. So, if you are looking for a place, and you need that chance to prove how good you are, this is your chance. Don't doubt it and give it a go as I did, you won't regret it. Excellent séjour chez Alison et Robert ! Les deux sont très attentionnés, chaleureux et sociables. Alison met un point d'honneur à respecter l'équilibre de travail et repos, ce qui est fort appréciable. Les paysages alentour sont très beaux, pour ne rien gâcher. Je recommande vivement !

My time on Bute was a great wwoofing experience! Emma and Ewan are amazing hosts who will make you feel welcome from day one. You‘ll have an apartment with sea view and food will be provided (at times you might be invited for dinner and lunch is a great way of catching up together). The work is varied and you will learn a lot about shepherding and training dogs in a really beautiful setting. It was incredible to see how much could be achieved by them! Emma and Ewan really care about their land and their enthusiasm for farming is infectious;) The Island is surprisingly well connected with bus services and a bike might be provided with which you can explore beaches, Lochs, quaint villages, and ruins on your day off. I very much recommend staying, you won’t regret it!

We had a good time at Fen Farm with our hosts John & Nanda and fellow wwoofers. We helped ensure the sheep, alpacas and pigs had fresh water and food. We foraged for apples. We assisted with events and tidying the farm and the running of the biomass boiler. Rupert built and fitted a custom shaped door, and skirting; He also fixed some doors, all things he was happy to do as a carpenter. We had use of electricity and access to water for our accommodation. Our hosts ensured we were fed during our stay and also treated us to a welcome dinner and farewell dinner at a nearby restaurant. We enjoyed the laid back community atmosphere and playing card games, pool and listening to music. It was interesting to see the maize get harvested with the combine and tractors. There is a playground, go karts and many other things to keep children entertained. We will definitely visit again. Thank you so much for being our first hosts!

We had an amazing time at Monkton Wyld. We deeply needed a little break from our urban lives and it's been a total success. The community is so nice, people were very welcoming, we spent a great time helping in the garden, harvesting, seedling, making jams and cooking for everyone. The area is so nice and quiet that after few days we finally dropped our busy minds to embrace the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of this beautiful place. 10 days were way too short, we wished we could have stayed longer, and we're definitely thinking about comming back some day 🙌🏻 Thank you for your warm welcome, we keep reminding about our stay everyday 🥰

This was a great place to stay for me to explore the local area. The landscape surrounding the farm is amazing. I enjoyed climbing Cadair Idris which is quite challenging. The hosts Matt and Laura are very welcoming. The accommodation is great, it was in a house with my own space. The food was very good (you can expect Matt's apple cobbler !). The work was varied and the hosts tried to adapt to my needs and abilities. I would recommand this place to anyone who wants to have a great wwoof experience. I will be back one day !

I can't begin to explain how special croft 22 is. Nat and Julia are hosts who truly care for you. They make you feel as if you're not a mere wwoofer, but an important part of the project. We worked on one big project during my stay which was very cool. Despite not having built a goathouse before they took my thoughts and ideas into consideration while we built it. Everything we did was very much a team effort where Nat and/or Julia worked alongside us. Nothing, whether it was having snacks from the pantry or their shop, using certain tools, or being in certain spaces on the croft, was out of bounds. It almost felt like it was my croft too. On our freetime we did lots of things together (even though they would be accommodating if you wanted to do your own thing). We went to the beach, had a barbecue, went to lovely and interesting places on the island.. It was so much fun. I am very grateful for the time I spent with Nat and Julia and would absolutely love to come back. I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you for everything!

It was my first experience as a Wwoofer, and it was a very good and interesting one! I loved Meike’s huge garden with its amazing old trees and the bothy. Since it had been very dry in Reigate, there wasn’t so much to do, but Meike was very good at finding tasks for me, which always varied. She follows the WWOOF rules strictly, is very organised, has a clear schedule and told me exactly how to do things. This will be an inspiration for my own gardening at home. Meike has a lot of fascinating stories to tell, which I really enjoyed listening to. We spent a lovely time together and had some good conversations. I agree with all the other Wwoofers that her cooking is excellent. Thank you very much for everything, Meike!

We absolutely loved our three weeks on this farm. We had the opportunity to choose from a variety of different tasks and were able to adjust our working hours and we were also able to borrow the bikes on which we crossed the island. We really enjoyed helping with the preparations for the West Show, and the event itself as well. Isabelle, Johann, and all the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
