I stayed here for about three weeks as a WWOOFer, and it was my first WWOOF experience. I had barely touched soil before, so almost everything was new to me! The work was really enjoyable, and I learned a lot from it. The nature and scenery around the farm were beautiful, and the living environment was comfortable. The hosts were so warm and easy to talk to. They always looked out for me, which made me feel really at ease. As someone from Japan, I was a little nervous at first, but their kindness made everything so much easier. I would absolutely recommend this farm to anyone thinking about WWOOFing in the UK!

I had a delightful time at [Host] with Helen and Paul. Their beautiful home and garden is in a peaceful setting with lovely views across the surrounding countryside. I stayed in the shepherd's hut, overlooking the garden, where the sun streamed in late afternoon. There's a great little wood burner to up the temperature though if the sun isn't playing ball. I found the shepherd's hut (made by Paul) a treat to stay in: it's full of windows, bright, cheerfully decorated (by Helen and her daughter) and very comfy. I enjoyed a wealth of home cooking and baking (ginger cake, hot cross buns, flapjacks, fresh bread every day), home-grown produce (raspberries, redcurrants, gooseberries, salad leaves, and of course rhubarb!) and I have come away inspired to get a tiny bit more adventurous with my own plant-based cooking. Helen and Paul are both warm, creative, generous people, keen to live in harmony with nature, and we had plenty of interesting chats during regular breaks and meals. While I was there, I helped out with weeding veg and wildflower beds and also planting out veg seedlings. I plan to return in summer and hopefully see those wildflower beds in bloom! I highly recommend [Host] to anyone interested in growing veggies, gardening with nature in mind and ready to enjoy excellent vegan food and excellent company.

I had an amazing time working with Helen! This was my first wwoofing experience, but I felt extremely comfortable. The work and pace of the day was wonderful and I hope to return soon. Highly recommend helping them out if you have a spare weekend and want to do some work in the garden!

We had a wonderful time with Alison! We worked on the crops under the polytunnel, we removed the weeds for the new plants, we fed the sheeps :) And we still had a lot of time to visit the Black isle and spend quality time with our host. Alison is a very generous and interesting person, we feel very lucky to have met her. We hope to come again sometime!

The community is very kind and friendly. I love that there is a fixed routine in the house, feeding chickens and horses at 8.30am, going for a 15-minutes quiet time, then having breakfast. After breakfast till 1pm will be helping out chores around the farm, then we will have some quiet time before lunch. The routine and quiet time is something that I think is helpful for WWOOFers and the hosts to plan their time. There is always something interesting to do and we are grateful to spend time with this lovely community.

I spent three wonderful weeks with Janet and Roderick at [Host] Farm. It was an experience that I will never forget ! They were incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home from the first day ! They helped me a lot to improve my English, always with patience and kindness. I also really enjoyed discovering their culture (especially through the food, we had a lot of magical moments through the food aha !) ! What I appreciated the most were our fascinating conversations. Every evening, we talked about many interesting topics, which allowed us to get to know each other and share our ideas on society. The garden is simply amazing. Everything is well organized and beautiful. It has impressed me a lot ! Jan has an incredible level of passion and expertise. Thank you, Janet, for sharing this passion! During my stay, I did different tasks like weeding, planting potatoes, and cleaning the greenhouse, etc. Nothing difficult ! But I hope I has been helpful for the garden ! I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a meaningful and authentic exchange ! Thank you so much Janet and Roderick !

I had a wonderful week at [Host] Claudia and Colin were so welcoming and helpful. The setting is beautiful, overlooking the water wherever you are on the farm. The tasks were varied and interesting. It was great to have the animals be part of the experience - both in the daily work and just being around them throughout the time at the croft. The accommodations were very well appointed and clean and you'll be very well fed! I enjoyed my time very much and would recommend [Host] to anyone.

I stayed at [Host] for two months and had a really nice time. I actually only spent a few days working on the arboretum itself, but the rest of the time was spent working with Hamish on various odd jobs all around the estate, which was a lot of fun. There are bicycles available and plenty of places to go exploring during the weekends. Hamish is one of a kind and the rest of the staff were also great to work with, I feel like I learned a lot, and I would definitely recommend WWOOFing here.

I stayed here for 5 weeks and had an amazing time. My first 3 weeks were spent working on the calving side of things. We did field checks identifying calves+mums and bringing them down from the field, bedding up,milking newly calved mums for high colostrum milk, latching calves+teaching them to suckel, and measuring out the herds' next grass portion+fencing . I also got to do ear tagging.dehorning, and castrating. My last 2 weeks were at the dairy where we did morning+evening milking(what a fantastic, cool, and efficient parlor!) ,fencing and the random odd job. Tim &Suzy are truly kind and welcoming people, you instantly feel at home with them and their cat+dog are the sweetest. There were other WWOOFers+workers here during my stay as well which was lovely. I couldn't recommend their farm enough, being present for the calving season was awesome and I hope to come back to experience more aspects of their operation another time .

I couldn't recommend [Host] enough! Anne, Matthew, and the other wwoofers were so welcoming and accommodating. I learned so much during my stay and hope to come back soon. Anne and Matthew were very flexible with ability levels and super helpful getting us to hikes on days off. We were very well fed and taken care of and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them and spending time in the garden and allotments.
