Four amazing weeks flew by and I'm so grateful for all my experiences on Mull. Jack is the most amazing, caring, and considerate host! He always gave us options of what to do on the land and often emphasized that we can do whatever we fancied (wood work, sowing, planting, maintenance, field-work, inside-work like preserving, crafting, etc) and that he'd be grateful for ideas and suggestions. He made sure we felt appreciated and he created a very harmonic space. During the day everyone kind of worked when they wanted to instead of strict structures meaning everyone could do things their way. In the evenings we often, cooked meals, played games, listened to music and had a lot of great conversations. We also did some group activities like foraging for mushrooms, charity shopping and swimming which was amazing. The landscapes and the view are beautiful, the quietness healing and the air nurturing. Thank you Jack -for being such pure soul and making us laugh all these times.

I had a fantastic time staying at [Host] Farm! David and Chris run a great operation. I had a really great time working with the cows and helping with all kinds of farm projects. David is a very conscientious farm owner and takes great care to do things correctly. He and Chris are excellent at involving and instructing their wwoofers/vet students no matter the task. The accommodation is wonderful, Chris and Arwyn (and Lilly!) are really hospitable and easy-going. Not to mention the views from this farm are incredible. I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you are interested in cattle farming. Thanks to the whole family!

We had a wonderful 3 weeks at [Host] Croft! Jenny was an extremely kind and thoughtful host with a great variety of work to do on the croft. We spent our 3 weeks designing and building a compost toilet, raised beds and outhouse, which we look forward to returning to finish :) Alongside interesting jobs, workdays were spent sharing delicious lunches with interesting conversations and plenty of tea breaks (Jenny's brownies are amazing!) [Host]croft is in a beautiful and peaceful location and the caravan has the most amazing view! The caravan was lovely and comfortable for us and had everything we needed (and more!) Jenny also offered lots of local knowledge for things to do on days off including suggestions for places to visit and events happening in the local community. It was great to be a part of the beginning of Jenny's crofting journey. We would certainly recommend [Host] Croft to other woofers and look forward to returning to help ourselves :)

I had a wonderful three-week stay with Chris in Wales! Chris is a great host and good company, he made me feel comfortable. I helped him with various outdoor tasks: cleaning the greenhouses before winter, harvesting artichokes, sowing beans, and much more. Beyond the work, Chris also took the time to show me around the beautiful surrounding area, the landscapes are truly stunning. His lovely dog Floss is adorable, and I really enjoyed our walks around the house. It was a very positive and rewarding experience for me; and I have to say, Chris is also an excellent cook!

Dan and Ron are great hosts. Welcoming and easy to get along with. They are both passionate about what they do and happy to answer any questions. There was also plenty to do in the surrounding area, with lots of great spots to explore during my time off. The coast is walking distant and there is a castle ruin across the road. My time was varied and interesting. No two days were the same. Overall great experience.

Even though I only stayed for a few days, my stay was absolutely fantastic! Emily and Phil were very welcoming, thoughtful, kind and would make sure everything is perfect for you. The work is never too much and accommodating to your skills. Phil and Emily will look after you and make sure you’re okay with everything. There will also be tea/coffee breaks ;) You will be having amazing food such as Haggis or Moussaka and also have the opportunity to cook something yourself if you want to. The accommodation consists of your own huge private room/ cottage which is clean and very cosy but you are also always welcome to come into the main house where lots of dogs are waiting to be cuddled:) The farm is beautiful as are the surroundings. The beach is not far away and there are lots of castles of which Phil might give you a tour. The next village is only 15min away by foot and from there you can catch a bus, but Phil or Emily often give you a lift somewhere or give you a bike. Thank you so much for letting me stay at such short notice, I‘d love to come back sometime for a longer visit!

I stayed with Kay and Gareth for 2 weeks and had a really lovely time. This has probably been the most well organised and well rounded place I've been to, and I've been to quite a few now. They are very experienced and kind hosts, you will be very well looked after. The caravan was super cosy, expectations of work were clear, Kay cooked the most wonderful and healthy meals for us all and Gareth told us many interesting stories while we ate them! We mostly cleared brambles and bracken away from trees at this time of year. Which was deeply satisfying work being able to see your progress as you go. The work was also varied enough that we did many other things including planting bulbs, making sauerkraut, chutney, and micro greens, mulching and picking fruit. Kay and Gareth either worked along side us or never far away either which was always helpful for my million questions that they happily answered. I stayed there with 4 other WWOOFers which created a really nice, social atmosphere and meant that we could explore the local area together. It is a really beautiful part of the world with stunning walks to go on. The ancient forest next to the house is just magical as well! Kay and Gareth are active members in their community and I really appreciated the opportunity to go to some of the community events at the hall such as the film night. They also have a great collection of books to read by the fire! Thank you both so much, I really appreciated my time with you!

I spent three weeks at Catherine's house. I felt very comfortable and completely free. Catherine is very patient and generous. The main activity was in the garden, although the rain sometimes prevented it. A lovely experience and many things to learn. Thank you

I had a very nice stay with Jeremy and Clare. I stayed for a week and a half in November. Living in one of their shepherds huts in and amongst the apple trees was such a novel and cozy experience. We worked primarily on cider and juice production. Be it picking windfall apples, labeling bottles, milling and pressing, we did it all. I was grateful to have such an immersive introduction to the world of cider and perry. Jeremy and Clare are very pleasant hosts who enjoy and honor a good coffee or tea break when necessary. They brought me along to table tennis night, pickle ball, and out to a neighboring town to visit friends. I felt welcomed into the tight community of Broad Oak and surrounding areas. There is plenty of work to do at the farm and when you’ve got some free time there are beautiful walks and hikes and bike rides in the area. I am so glad for the chance to stay at Hollow Ash and look forward to the potential of a future visit.

Barbara and Giles (along with their adorable children!) were very gracious hosts and made sure I had everything I needed and felt comfortable. The head gardener Perry, as all the reviews mentioned, is impossibly patient and passionate about soil and organic methods, and taught me so much about gardening (sprinkled in with tales of his storied past). This was altogether such a rich and memorable experience and definitely piqued my interest further in organic gardening.
