Tania is a kind, unselfish and flexible host who is willing to tailor a volunteer’s work to his or her personal skills, or even the weather: if there is rain, she is happy to focus on indoor work. When unexpected health-related circumstances derailed our original timeline, she graciously agreed to reschedule my time at her farm. It is so easy to work with her and get to know her. Our conversations lasted for hours. Her property is located on a wonderful canal towpath, with walks or runs possible in multiple directions amid stunningly beautiful, peaceful scenery. And Tania has joy in her life. This is particularly important to me because I have met hosts who did not exhibit that quality. She is always very busy, balancing her professional work and management of her farm with some fascinating outside interests. She has an excellent relationship with her sons, who are fine young men, a credit to her abilities as a parent. I would stay and work at her place again in a heartbeat if she would allow me to. She is a credit to the spirit of WWOOF.

My time with Sophie and Panu was super and I learned so much during my stay, they really looked after me here and ensured I got the most out of my stay, thank you both :) In my 10 days here, I got to engage with a variety of tasks such as vineyard maintenance , winemaking in their winery, apple picking, weeding and harvesting produce in their kitchen garden. I also got to assist them on an private event in their newly opened venue space ! This was one of the highlights of my stay as I got to serve (and try) some of their wines and cyders made on site. The location of the farm in Somerset is fantastic, plenty of nearby walks and cycles in the stunning countryside. The swimming lake and sauna is also a bonus and I enjoyed both of these in my time off. Thanks again for a wonderful time!

This was a great place to go as a first time WWoofer. If you have a genuine interest in what's going on around you you will be given the opportunity to get involved in just about anything. From hands on experience with the cows, to yogurt making to maintenance work. There's also a small allotment if you're interested in learning about that side of things. The amount of knowledge on the farm is incredible and the team are amazing, really warm and friendly from the first day. Would definitely recommend this to someone who wants a more hands on, working experience of WWoofing. Thank you to everyone at the farm for the experience- see you soon :)

A big thank you to Naomi! We stayed there for just 6 days, but we still had the chance to discover a wide variety of home-cooked meals made from good-quality ingredients, some of which came from Naomi's own property (vegetables, meat and eggs). We really felt welcome, and the accommodation was comfortable. Naomi spent a lot of time with us, sharing meals, chatting and playing games in the evenings. Naomi adapted the work to our abilities and the meals to our tastes. You just have to ask! Don't expect all 22 acres to be fully cultivated. The land is open and pleasant to walk around, but much of it is more like fallow land. We definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel as if they're staying at their granny's house.

A lovely and stunning place. The land is incredible. I felt the sublime twice, saw rabbits, woodpeckers and beautiful deer. I feel very grateful to have been able to experience the morning meditations. The whole experience was incredible rejuvenating.

I felt truly amazed and inspired during my time WWOOFing at Nat & Julia’s Croft, especially by the way they design and run everything from a regenerative and permaculture perspective. Julia mentioned that we remember the land longer than we have forgotten it, and I couldn’t agree more. This includes things like knowing the names of clouds, understanding the wind and rain, and working with animals and plants in a reciprocal way. I also really appreciated the landscape of the island. The vast skies, constantly blowing winds, and ever-changing light made the sea look a different colour every day.

I feel so grateful and lucky to have had Lorien as my first WWOOF host — he’s set the bar incredibly high! It was such a warm and wholesome experience. Our main project was clearing the woods for a future sauna, and Lorien worked alongside us, offering guidance, support and plenty of encouragement. He also went above and beyond to show us around the area he lives in and loves, which made the whole experience even more special.

We stayed for ten days at Biz and Nigel's farm and loved it. We felt really welcomed ! The caravan is comfortable, we had everything we needed and the food was delicious. We had a car which made it really handy to visit the suroundings. We worked in the orchard and appreciated spending time outside. It was easy to discuss with Biz and Nigel to organize our time. Thanks for everything !

I had a wonderful, restful 10 days at [Host] and was so happy to be surrounded by such lovely people. The community members and my fellow volunteers made it a really special experience. A particular highlight was Sam and Ellie's nature walk as part of the Radical Bakers gathering. It was also lovely to listen to the live music at the gathering and meets lots of interesting people. September weather meant mulching the vegetable beds, clearing leaves and processing damsons (a thankless task, but a rewarding one). My room was comfortable and cosy, and I could hear the owl's calling to each other in the night. It was fantastic to make dinner for the community on the two nights my fellow WWOOFER and I did this, and so nice to share food every evening.

I had a really great time here! Everyone was very kind and welcoming and I learnt a lot. We laid a drainage pipe, built a (absolutely gorgeous looking) wall, pruned some apple trees and dug a lot. It was hard but immensely rewarding work and we had a lot of fun working as a team. 👷👷👷 I also had the opportunity to join a choir for one evening :) The caravan was very well equipped and spacious and I was always provided with the cooking ingredients I wanted. I was able to lend a bike to get to Town, which was very convenient, and the surrounding area is also quite nice to have a walk around, eg. into the forest... I would definitely recommend this place to other WWOOFers and I also hope to return again in the future :)
