Here, we grow our own veg for our own box scheme delivering 350 boxes locally per week and have our own small farm shop crammed with wholefood goodies. We offer experience with the whole range of horticultural work, everything involved in producing veg; propagation, transplanting, use of heated tables, raised beds, supporting and feeding plants and so on. In the area are amazing walks and waterfalls, as well as other farms you might make day trips out to. The accommodation is rather basic: one flush toilet on site, two compost toilets, a basic kitchen in the packing shed plus kettle and cooking ring in the caravan and a gas hot shower. We provide bedding unless you wanted to bring your own sleeping bag, as well as some light reading books in the caravan. Any questions please feel free to message us. We have 2.5 acres of glasshouses, growing organic vegetables to serve our box scheme and farm shop. What we can't grow on site, we buy as locally as possible. We are very easy to get to. The local train station is Clapham North Yorkshire. We can arrange collection, otherwise it's a very nice fifteen minute walk from the farm.

I've been WWOOFing for almost a week and it has been an amazing experience!! The team is just the nicest, always helpful and overly friendly. The girl who was volunteering with me was really nice as well, I enjoyed working with her a lot. The farm is an area full of glass houses where most of the work is done. The jobs are never too hard (with breaks every few hours) and they make sure you're never doing the same thing for a long time, so you'll learn lots. The area is beautiful, surrounded by green everywhere. I don't think I could've chosen a better option for my first WOOFing experience. Thank you for everything and I hope to come back in the future!!

I stayed at [Host] for a month from February to March 2026 and had such a lovely time. Everyone there, both staff and day volunteers, were all so welcoming and friendly! I partook in plenty of weeding throughout the greenhouses, helped to plant new red onions, shovel compost, harvest lots of leeks, package for their veg box scheme, and even got to help assist in the building of their new polytunnel! I stayed in a caravan on site and was very comfortable there, despite it being a little cold and windy some nights. I always had plenty of food to keep me well fed, whether that was leftovers from lunch (on Wednesdays and Thursdays), wonky veg from the staff box, or from the farm's shop (wwoofers are given a good budget to spend in the shop every week on all the organic food they have on offer). The surrounding area is beautiful and there is plenty of nearby hikes to go on also! I definitely would recommend wwoofing at [Host] to other wwoofers interested! Thank you again for the lovely experience.

My stay at this organic farm was nothing short of magical. If you’re looking for a place that feels like Hobbiton from Lord of the Rings, this is it! The landscape is breathtaking, and I spent my free time exploring incredible hikes with magnificent waterfalls. What I loved most was the variety of tasks and the autonomy I was given. A highlight for me was helping to build a polytunnel. As a woman, it was incredibly empowering and stimulating to take part in an eco-construction project that directly supports local biodiversity. Plus, working inside the tunnels is a huge bonus it keeps you perfectly dry when the English weather strikes! The living conditions were perfect. I stayed in an adorable caravan that felt like a cozy little cocoon with all the comfort I needed. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Beyond the work, I found a team where a deep atmosphere of kindness and goodwill reigns. They are doing such meaningful work and there is so much exciting progress happening right now. To future WWOOFers: If you are a motivated person who loves to be active and see the impact of your work, this is the place for you. There is plenty to do and your energy will be truly valued here. [Host] was a lovely place to WWOOF for a fortnight. The team working there are all great people and very friendly (excellent cooks/bakers!), and the work (c5-6hrs a day) is interesting, varied, and - importantly in winter - under glass so sheltered and dry. I mainly weeded, cleared bed and moved compost but also enjoyed helping out with veg box prep occasionally. Lots of excellent organic food available and good cooking facilities, and a great opportunity to explore the Dales and get some walks in. The accommodation (in a caravan) can be a big chilly at this time of year but the team are very keen to make sure WWOOFers are comfortable and warm. The polytunnel shower is a great experience too! Would highly recommend.

[Host] is a beautiful place with knowledgable growers and lovely workers and volunteers. Also, I felt very much at home in the caravan/mobile home. Their weekly allowance/budget system worked great, but I was there at a time with abundant spare fruits & veggies. Yet, because they also sell other products that are not necessarily grown at the farm, with the allowance system you always have access to great organic products! Some days/duties you might work on your own, so be prepared for that. The level of responsibility you get is nice :)

I enjoyed my time at [Host] very much, the people I met were very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. Plus the nearby village has a lovely walk + cave to explore, and the train station is walkable (25 minutes) but you can always ask for a lift. Most of my tasks were weeding and preparing the soil, I did also help transplant some vegetables, and do some packing at the shed. Most of the tasks are independent, which was nice and relaxing, lots of people in the greenhouses wore headphones, I would listen to some music and podcasts myself too. If I ever needed some extra guidance or didn't understand a task clearly, there was always someone who could give me perfect guidance for how to continue. It did get quite hot in the greenhouses on some days, frequent breaks were highly encouraged by the entire team, and I would sometimes be moved onto an outside task if the heat was extreme. There was also the odd day where we would finish early, either because of the heat, or because of finishing a heavy task. The camper van provided was very nice and cozy, it can get a little cold some nights, but there is both a wood stove and an electric heater provided that work great. Cooked lunch is offered some days, and I had to cook my own lunches and dinners on others. Overall it's a very nice greenhouse setup! I would take walks in the greenhouses at night and it's quite relaxing to explore the various rows.
