Hello and welcome to Cusgarne Organic Farm! We are a fully organic farm in the heart of Cornwall, registered with Demeter. Your stay at Cusgarne would involve a lot of variety, we have 104 acres of growing fields, pasture, orchards, chickens, polytunnels and a farm shop.
Volunteer help has been central and hugely valued at Cusgarne for nearly 30 years. And we have been incredibly lucky to have some wonderful people give their time.
We are a commercially run operation, but on a small scale, so you will get a taste of all the elements it takes to keep an organic farm running. One day might be collecting eggs from the chickens, the next day moving cattle, the next day seeding and weeding and the next making preserves.
We really want to make your stay at Cusgarne rewarding, inspiring and interesting too, so if there is a specific thing that you are passionate about, skilled in, or just want to experience, just let us know.
The farm is in a very quiet area of Cornwall, with small lanes and green fields. There is a small local pub, footpaths and a bus stop... not much else though! Falmouth and Truro are about 6/7 miles away as are the north and south coasts, which Cornwall is famous for.
We live a quiet and simple life here, eating seasonally and enjoying working with nature. You will meet inspiring and interesting people though, and hopefully leave with some funny and good memories.
Organic methods: Predators in tunnels, diamatacious earth, good rotations, liquid manure plant feed. Dock beetles on pastures All plant grown on farm. 90 different cultivars approx

I had a great time at Greg and Teresa's farm. The work was interesting and I learned a lot, Greg is patient, funny and will teach you anything that has to do with a farm ! He'll also have lots of things to say about how great potatoes are compared to pasta, but he's obviously wrong.
Jokes aside, the accommodation is nice and cosy, beware the WiFi is a bit slow though. But that'll give you more time to visit the region, there's a bus stop nearby that'll allow you to go to nearby cities.
If you're looking for an organic farm, with a nice host that'll give you many various jobs (egg cleaning, veg picking, sowing ...), that'll provide you with nice food and a cosy accommodation, it's the place to be ! It was my first woofing experience and I had a great time, thanks again to Greg, Teresa and all the people I met there :-)

[Host] Farm was my first wwoofing host farm here in the UK and I could not have picked a better one! Since the farm has been well established for many years now and with a variety of things going on, everyday I was doing something a little different. This ranged from watering the polytunnels to harvesting raspberries; and from weeding rows of cauliflower to collecting eggs. There was also the seasonal project of apple picking from the beautiful orchard that we would usually do in the afternoons. I really enjoyed that throughout the day there was able to be a balance between going off and doing tasks independently for some quiet time and then also coming together to work on projects as a team. The evenings of cooking slow and simply delicious meals made from farm fresh produce together with fellow wwoofers was also a delight. Thank you [Host] Farm!

I had an absolutely fantastic time at Greg’s farm. Over the 2 and a half weeks I was there I learnt so many new skills. The tasks I was assigned were varied and included but were not limited to apple picking, picking vegetables for the shop, collecting eggs, mucking out and strimming weeds. Greg always gave good instructions but also allowed me to go about my tasks independently which felt great. The accommodation is well kitted out, comfortable and offers a lovely environment for us volunteers to cook, eat and chat. I can’t wait to return to the farm again next year to learn and experience even more!

I was given a very warm welcome by Greg, Teresa, and the team (including the other Wwoofers). I really enjoyed the work. The tasks were varied and gave me plenty of scope to work independently. Greg has a very good sense of people. Even though there is always a lot to do, he always has an open ear and takes time for you.
I am very happy that I was able to be part of this great team.
Thank you very much for the wonderful experiences.

My time with Greg and Teresa in [Host] was incredibly educational and truly unforgettable. Anyone who gets the chance to work with Greg, his family, and the wonderfully kind staff at the farm shop can consider themselves very lucky.
During my stay, the daily tasks included harvesting raspberries (and apples) and various vegetables (such as chard, kale, and aubergines), watering the plants in the polytunnel, and collecting and cleaning eggs. Depending on the weather and what was needed, we also helped with planting new crops, doing small repair jobs, or even making jam—there was always something different to learn. Also, I was fascinated by their beautiful farm shop and its lovely customers, with whom you can always have a nice chat if you’d like.
Most of all, I appreciated the hospitality and the insightful, friendly conversations with Greg and his family/team.
The Pascoe family’s land reflects a deep respect for nature, visible in both the cultivation of vegetables and the care of their cattle. Future WWOOFers with a good level of basic English will get the most out of this experience, not only by following instructions easily but also by enjoying many meaningful exchanges with everyone involved on the farm. Those who are genuinely committed to learning and willing to work with enthusiasm will find the experience especially rewarding, as Greg and his team offer so much in return.
I will always treasure my time at [Host] and very much look forward to returning someday.

I spent three weeks at Greg and Teresa's farm in April and enjoyed it very much.
Being a shop and a farm alike the place is very busy. I met a lot of kind and interesting people (Greg and Teresa, family members, staff members, family friends, customers...). It was nice as well to have the opportunity to share the well equipped accommodation with another wwoofer for a while.
There is always something to do at the farm either inside or outside. I did many different things such as cleaning, boxing and labelling eggs,
picking, weighing and bagging vegetables, helping to move the cows from one field to another, seeding, weeding.
The farm is located in a quiet peaceful and lovely countryside. I went for a few nice walks along the nearby gurgling rivers in the evenings. I also made the most of the weekends and took pleasure in visiting the cities of Truro and Falmouth.
Thanks a lot to Greg and Teresa. I'm grateful to them for welcoming me as a wwoofer and giving me the opportunity to come at the farm (in spite of my age 😉)
I might ask to come again.
