House and garden
Lincolnshire
We live in a large Georgian house (250 years old) with 1.5 acres and are trying to be as self-sufficient as possible in vegetables. We have chickens. Naomi will work with you in the garden. We expect you will cook us some typical food from your home.
You will have a comfortable, spacious room with own bathroom and we have broadband.
There is a lot of work to be done on the garden and some areas of the house are also being renovated. We are always busy so are looking for adaptable and self-reliant people.
Our heating and hot water is supplied from ground source heating, and we have a rainwater harvester.
We are (obviously) very concerned about the Climate Emergency.
We have two boys (21 and 19) who enjoy meeting visitors.
Gosberton is a small village with a pub, post office and two shops.
Maximum stay 10 days.
We have some building/renovation projects coming up... if you are interested in lime pointing and old building techniques then it would be great to hear from you.
NO SMOKING.

Naomi, Henry and their sons are amazing kind and welcoming. I thank them for their patience with my extremely poor level of English. the rooms are big and so comfortable. I learned a lot in one week with them. Henry is a Chef. the food was perfect. Thank you very much and I hope to see you again once my English has improved to have a nice conversation with you and above all to understand. Vous avez le coeur sur la main 🙂

WWOOFing with The Woodlands has been an invaluable experience - Henry and Naomi have been extremely kind and I have certainly gained an insight into organic gardening. I am very grateful for their time and generosity!

I had a wonderful stay at The Woodlands and highly recommend them as hosts. They were very hospitable, and I felt part of the family! Naomi works alongside the Woofer, and I learnt a lot about digging, weeding, composting and planting seeds. We also planted out some potatoes and onions. I have to say, the food was exceptional, and Henry's bread making skills are second to none. They are very accommodating to dietary requirements. Naomi and I visited the local Seed Cooperative one afternoon, which was really informative, and I bought some seeds to start me off with my new "grow my own" adventure! It was a really lovely break - I think we appreciated each other's company after such a long lockdown! I know they would love more visitors - please book!

Naomi and Henry were amazingly nice and I really enjoyed the short stay with them very much. Thank you very much! The stunning family impressed me with all good memories and adventurous staff in the garden that I've learnt. Their patience, hospitality and warm heart helped me a lot. We built a chicken fence, dug potatoes, did weeding and many interesting and educational things. Additionally, I really enjoyed talking with the knowledgeable couple, from which I have acquired much. I couldn't find a word to convey my gratitude and happiness I had in the Woodlands, hope you all the best.
Kindest regards,
Yuanpeng
