House and Garden, Pond, Loch and surrounding woodland and agricultural land.
Perth & Kinross
We (Timothy and Charlotte) have recently moved into our new home
We have built a new house on our farm at Old England are still creating our new garden and grounds including a Lochside and Woodland Walk. We have several projects planned for the near future. Most of these projects involve heavy work so applicants need to be strong, fit and happy to do physical work. We have a small organic vegetable garden which we hope to expand this summer with greenhouse and will be sowing, propagating and growing a large variety of vegetables, fruit and flowers in 2023.
There may also be work on the farm maintaining woodland, hedges and fencing and caring for our small herd of sheep and Highland Cattle
WWOOFers should have an interest in the outdoors, wildlife and wild animal management.
Familiarity with machinery (chainsaws if qualified) mowers, tractors will be a benefit. Drivers are also welcome.
Work is as varied as possible from day to day.
For those WWOOFers who are musical we have a Grand Piano which you are welcome to play.
There is a WWOOFer sitting room with TV and internet access and a large collection of films on DVD
We encourage WWOOFers to explore the local area, and the rest of Scotland at weekends. We have bikes for WWOOFers to use and even tents for taking camping in the warmer months.
Meals are cooked mainly by the hosts and eaten together. WWOOFers are encouraged to share in the preparation of meals, laying tables and washing up. We try and eat as much of our own seasonal produce as possible, including fruit, eggs, vegetables, beef, lamb, pork, venison and game from the estate.
We have three friendly dogs who live in the house. WWOOFers may sometimes be asked to help with caring for and exercising them.
We also have ten grandchilden age 9 and under. 7 live nearby and visitand stay very regularly and the remaining 3 live in England and with their parents come and visit when possible. They love to play with our WWOOFers so any experience with children is very welcome.
Individual rooms are provided when ever possible, but sometimes WWOOFers will be a asked to share if we have guests or several WWOOFers

We stayed with Charlotte & Tiffy for just under 3 weeks and what a lovely experience it was! Instructed by Charlotte, we spent most of our time in the garden planting dogwoods, trimming their willow structure, tidying beds & bubblewrapping the greenhouse (my favourite!). On rainy days we also helped to make soups, apple sauce & chutney - all with cooking tips & recipes from Charlotte. Charlotte & Tiffy made us feel very welcome in their wonderful home and introduced us to their fabulous family & friends - we loved babysitting their grandchildren, chatting with Janet & Andrew and helping at another family house nearby! Accommodation & meals were very nice and their dogs Poppy & Lupin are very well behaved and very sweet! I would definitely recommend Old England as a woofing spot! :)

I tried Wwoofing for the first time and have to say that it was probably the best first experience I could have had.
Charlotte and Tiffy are very kind, helpful and humorous. There were often family members visiting, so it was always very lively. I felt very welcome during my two-week stay.
Old England is also a lovely place! The work in the beautiful garden was very varied and I learnt a lot of new things about growing vegetables and pruning plants. When needed, I liked to help with different tasks, for example preparing the food. The meals were very delicious!
I can highly recommend the farm to other wwofers (:

What a fantastic and special wwoofing experience. I feel very grateful to have been welcomed into this warm and beautiful home. The hosts were very kind and helpful.
One of my favourite tasks Ove the month I was here was dead heading and pruning roses. I also got to dead headed many other flowers, prune a wisteria, an apple tree hedge, and a children’s hut made of loving willow branches!! I also took care of the vege garden and plants in the glass house. Did a little planting and some repotting. Weeding, clearing, mulching, watering. Loads of harvesting summer berries and peas! Yum. A little cooking and also playing with and occasionally taking the dogs for walks.
The area is very peaceful, rural and beautiful. There are fields, forrest’s, and the loch to enjoy on the property. I borrowed a bike and went exploring to the closest village, which was fun, and hard work but so rewarding. We picked edible mushrooms on the property. We always ate beautifully prepared wholesome meals.
I had a really fun experience, and enjoyed feeling more at home as the weeks went by. I will always remember Old England fondly and would be happy to visit again!

An lovely culinary wwoof experience! Charlotte and Tiffy are great cooks and very welcoming hosts.
I worked mainly in the garden which is starting to take shape now a couple of years after planting. I did a lot of weeding and clearing around trees, bushes and fences. It was great to be able to go on walks around their land with the dogs. I played a bit on their grand piano too.
They are an interesting and very social couple with family and friends always coming and going. Charlotte has many ideas for the garden and explains well how to carry out the tasks.
I took one of their bikes to explore the beautiful surroundings in the weekend. They would taxi back and forward to the rail station too which I much appreciated. Dunkeld is quite central for travelling around.
A very recommendable place to wwoof!

If you like garden work or are even expericend this is a must to come. Charlotte's garden is a beautiful place to work in, the house is beautiful and very comfy to stay. Both of them look after you so nicely. I'm very very thankful that I got the opportunity to meet them.
It was also my pleasure to meet Andrew and his wonderful wife Janet. Our coffee breaks and chats were always quite fun.
