We live in a period property, built in 1880. It is in good condition generally but as usual with a property like this, there is constant maintenance. We have a large garden, mature hedging and trees and garden paths. We keep a dog, and cats. I am particularly interested in re-establishing the gardens as due to ill health they have been a bit neglected. I would also like to install some dry stone walls and have particular interest in building a hay bale or cob house at the bottom of the fairy glen in the garden. I would like to then use this as an additional space for others to use as an education centre for the sharing of rural skills and alternative energy workshops. Stonemasonry, carpentry, willowcrafting and so on would be fabulous as well. Current projects: Pond cleaning Building Maintenance Garden clearing and lawn cutting. I spent three weeks at Catherine's house. I felt very comfortable and completely free. Catherine is very patient and generous. The main activity was in the garden, although the rain sometimes prevented it. A lovely experience and many things to learn. Thank you

I spent two wonderful weeks in this incredible home. It's a wonderful place to live. Catherine is truly lovely and very benevolant; she will take great care of you. You can go there with your eyes closed!

What can I say, I spent two unforgettable weeks at [Host]! They are a wonderful family, and the moments I shared with them will remain in my heart forever. The work is only secondary, especially since Catherine will never encourage you to work more hours than planned! (Even though it's difficult for me to stop a task I've started during the day ^^ ) Catherine is a real cook, she took care of my vegetarian diet and I never missed out on enjoying her wonderful dishes. In fact, I stole a few of her recipes ;) Her house is very cosy, it's a pleasure to live there. You can hear birds singing all day long! You'll never be alone because she has two cats and a dog, who are absolutely adorable. Today I'm leaving with a second family, that's how I feel after spending these weeks with them. So thank you very much again, take care of yourselves. I love you all very much <3 Max.

Catherine is the most welcoming, helpful host, you'll never be in want of anything. I spent a lot of time, playing her beautiful piano, and browsing through her books. I enjoyed staying in her charming, beautifully decorated house, and had a very nice room. The work, mostly weeding was a bit solitary, so I'd recommend to WWOOF here with someone. I've enjoyed the conversations with Catherine and the quiet ambience of the big house. And especially her homemade rosemary bread!

I spent 3 absolutely magnificent week in Northern Ireland with Catherine and her family, I really enjoyed my time there and I really think that going to Catherine’s has been one of the best expérience of my Life mostly because Catherine is an incredibly welcoming and friendly person she made me feel like I was a part of her family. I can’t wait to go back!

Catherine is absolutely amazing. She and her family are the epitome of welcoming. I spent three months at the old Manse and I adored every minute. The grounds are gorgeous, the views beautiful. I have never slept better to be honest, my room was cozy and comfortable and their home is delightfully peaceful and quiet. If you want to head to town to explore, or catch the bus or train, a taxi is easy available and if Catherine is headed to town she will always let you know. I honestly loved raking all around the property because the lush green and the views are so lovely, and we found beautiful little mushrooms and toads and I adore those kinds of things. There are always projects on large properties and Catherine was always clear and concise about anything she needed. I fell in love with Ireland during my visit and will definitely return 💚
