We're a fun loving family farm in the gorgeous hills of Rossendale an hour North of Manchester airport. We want to do something about climate change by swapping the whole farm to run on renewables, boost biodiversity, and produce scrumptious food!
We have 4 projects we're currently working on:
Sustainable Food: Help us design and build an "avian flu-proof" mobile poultry house for 300 birds - we want to make chickens everywhere happier! Imagine a heat proof mobile poly tunnel that's robotic and can travel round the field with hens inside (That's the dream anyway!)
Biodiversity: Get hands-on with essential daily farm maintenance, from clearing invasive weeds to repairing drystone walls.
Climate Action: Share our journey as we install a 45kw wind turbine this winter 2026/7 to power the farm on 100% of our own renewable energy (we also have solar, batteries, electric tools and an electric car!)
Eco-Tourism & Education: Assist with our glamping guests and visiting schools.
We offer hands-on learning in environmentally friendly farming, beekeeping, livestock care, and off-grid systems. Enjoy your own comfy room in the farmhouse with beautiful views over the valley and shared all organic family meals.
A sense of humour is required as is a love of lego and little people as we have 3 young kiddos who love asking many, many philosophical life questions ("Why is it called your bottom when it is in the middle of your body?")
As a bonus, enjoy our solar-powered hot tub and an electric mountain bike to explore the stunning local countryside!
