Hello, We are an off-grid 14-acre cider farm, that specialises in making cider vinegar. We are set in beautiful countryside, but the property still needs some work! If you are an experienced horse rider you will love it, as you can make the most of this beautiful part of the world on horseback. If you are interested in cider making or orchard management you will also find this ideal.  We presently have an ensuite downstairs room, which is quite cosy and the whole property is heated by wood burners with back boilers, using the wood from our woods, along with a varavan. We have parking for camper vans on a short term basis. We enjoy cooking here, so meals are together. Check our reviews! We are presently working on making camping areas in the woods for people that want to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. The current main people staying here are myself (Becci) and my daughter Mia. Expect to see some of our other previous volunteers and team making guest appearances. We accept all types of Wwoofers, we don't mind if you are here to improve your English, we certainly would love to improve our foreign language skills. We obviously welcome skilled Wwoofers but it's not essential, the most important thing is a good attitude and work ethic. You must have a love for animals though! Ruby (the dog) Smudge and Olla (the cats) are also very sociable and are sometimes after attention. Please have a look at our website to find out more about us! https://www.ostlerscidervinegar.com/ Organic methods: Organic fertilizer, horse manure and manual labour. Certifications: Organic Farmers and Growers Current projects: Currently, we have 8 acres of orchard and a small veg patch. Internet access available

I stayed for a week at the end of January and I had 2 other fantastic woofers with me ! I had a wonderful wwoof experience in [Host] with Rebekah and her family ! All the family welcomed me with open arms and heart since the very beginning of my stay. The main activities we took part in: cleaning inside and outside the house, gardening, feeding chickens and horses. I really enjoyed cooking and sharing the food moments, all the meals has been an amazing exchange opportunity of different cultures sitting by the same table. Beside the work on the farm, I have been given the chance to seeing the outstanding landscape of the southwest coast (Valley of rocks) and to ride horses, with Bob and Chloe, the beautiful horses of Rebekah and Mia. And last but not least, be present the Wassail, a pagan Winter tradition in Western England where people sing to the apple trees to encourage a good harvest. Thanks for having me ! I definitely recommend to go wwoofing at [Host] with Rebekah and her family !

Had a brilliant time with Rebekkah Mia and Mark. I spent 2 weeks with these marvellous people, I stayed in a lovely little caravan with a woodburner. I spent a lot of time outdoors but also spent time learning about the apple cide.. of things (pun intended). 10/10 would highly recommend this place- Everyone’s always up for a laugh, the food is great and the company is even better !!

My stay was wonderful! Becci is incredibly welcoming and works hard to ensure that wwoofers feel at home. She adjusts tasks to best suit weather, individual preferences, and ability. I especially enjoyed the homemade bread and horse riding on sunny days. If you are lucky enough to be there for the Wassail, you are in for lots of music and a fantastic time.

Rebekah, her crew, and the other WWOOFers gave me a very warm welcome. My tasks included picking and transporting apples, helping with the apple press, cleaning, tidying up, and looking after the chickens. I really enjoyed the work and we were a great team. The food was always delicious and healthy, and everyone enjoyed my apple cake. In my free time, I went on trips in the surrounding area, sometimes with other people from the farm. I had so much fun and learned a lot. I am very grateful for this wonderful experience.

I had such a fantastic time in my two weeks with Becci, Mia (and all the animals)! I came during harvest season so there was plenty of apple picking/carrying to be done. Tasks were varied and interesting - I also got involved in bracken clearing, manure picking, cleaning up etc. Becci was very flexible about which days we worked so we could plan our trips around good weather. She was a very hospitable host and welcomed us into her home from day one. As all the other reviews have raved about, the food is absolutely delicious and Becci's green bean stew (fasolakia) and pesto will live long in the memory! I was also there with (at one point) four other WWOOFers which only made the experience all the richer. I wholeheartedly recommend Becci and her cider mill and would gladly come back again.

I stayed for about one and a half week at the mill and it was a nice stay there! Becci is very fiendly and she made shure if I feel well. It is a great area there. Especially the apple pressing was great fun.
