We have availability now but we prefer WWOOFers who can spend at least a month with us. We have an organic garden at Fraoch Lodge ; with a lot of fruit and vegetables. There are the usual maintenance tasks to be done - weeding, planting new seeds, netting the vulnerable vegetables etc and some years we have additional projects. At the moment we are working on replacing our raised beds and potentially refreshing the fruit cages. Some help in the house will also be required as we will all eat together so we'll all also help prepare and clear the meals too. Internet access available

As a personal retreat I was looking for a long term stay in Scotland. Wwoofing a longer period makes a stay on [Host] with Rebecca and Andi `s family useful, because the various range of tasks needs to get familiar with. Mainly I was occupied in guest caring like breakfast service, packing lunch boxes, helping Rebecca in the kitchen with all kinds of preparation, cleaning up. I especially was fond with baking and I ve got many opportunities to use good stuff from the garden. The garden itself with a polytunnel, the berry cage and some veg patches expect to care for. From seeding , weeding to harvesting I experienced the circle of growing during my stay, what was wonderful. There are two working shifts and in between you have pretty long time for yourself. I used to get off for a walk in the woodlands or to the villages nearby. The Lodge is a place where many interesting guests stay to and it is never booring to come across with different folks. I would like to resume my stay here was a good decision to go to. Sometimes as a "hard worker" anytime as a lazy going. I am grateful about the oppotunity to accompany Andi and guests to the Cairngorm Mountains which was always a surpising adventure: wildlife, weather, waterfalls - you never know what comes around. Thank you for sharing your wisdoms and knowlegdes either special recipies and kitchen skills or about geography and landscape. I enjoyed very much. All the best for you both and Gregor Gabi

I had a great time at Rebeccas and Andys! The work was really versatile and I had alot of fun. I learned a number of new things about ways of gardening and also about cooking which I'm sure will come in handy in the future. They are really welcoming people and care about you alot which makes their home feel like your home when you're there. I will always treasure my time in Boat of Garten, thank you again!

Rebecca and Andy welcomed us for two entire months, following the covid-19's problems. Despite of the situation, we shared so much! It was a beautiful family's experience. We still had the opportunity to learn a lot about Scotland and the Highlands, to see the surroundings (so much to explore, even within 20km) and to be taught many things about gardening and cooking (thank you Rebecca). You want to have a great wwoofing stay? Go to Boat of Garten: personnally I now want to bring my whole family!
