We live on the site of an old Nursery since 2020 and run a Greener Camping Club affiliated campsite on the land. We have 3 large greenhouses which are used to grow our own food, by members of our growers group and by some in the local community. We have some no dig veg beds and continue to learn about permaculture principles which we hope will guide our growing and guardianship of the land. We have chickens for eggs, some new ducks hopefully for slug control ,and a hive which is primarily for pollination. We may take a little honey if there enough. This year we are starting to plant up a forest garden. Our focus is an environmental one, We are aiming towards making ourselves resilient to the worst of climate change and hope to encourage others to do the same. Adi registered the country's first electric taxi to run on renewable energy, and ran a bus company on sustainably sourced vegetable oil. We have a large solar system so the house and the campsite are off grid. Organic methods: chemical free growing. Certifications: not ready to be certified Current projects: Growing veg and flowers. Greenhouse maintenance. Hens. Bees. Internet access available

An absolute home away from home with loving and warm people - I'm incredibly grateful to have gotten to know this place. (Wanted to stay a week and stayed a month - which probably says it all) The working hours are more than fair and Gill and Adi make sure that you as a person have a good time. There is plenty of time for exploring in the afternoon or on the weekends. When the weather was good I usually worked outside and when it rained I worked in one of the greenhouses. My work included weeding, trimming hedges, sowing seeds and repotting plants. It was a special experience to get to know Gill's bee colony, which helps pollinate plants. The focus is on the environment and living with nature. It's a great place to learn more about living a greener lifestyle. If you have the opportunity to go woofing here, I wholeheartedly recommend this place.
