In 2023 we bought our 70 acre farm near Cardigan that we are setting up to produce Organic vegetables for across Wales, and also grow great food and community for those who live and work here. We are growing 35 acres of Organic vegetables in 2026.
We have a farmhouse and caravans, along with space for live-in vehicles, and a garden for camping. In 2025 we put in new shower, toilet and laundry facilities on site. Cats, chickens, sheep and other livestock animals also share this as their home.
You may get a chance to do: Vegetable planting, sowing, weeding, harvesting, watering, washing and packing. Fruit tree planting, mulching and maintenance, composting, non commercial livestock husbandry, cooking and preserving, along with infrastructure, building, and other maintenance.
We are setting up new systems and enterprises, so there will be lots of different and varied things to do, looking after household livestock, chopping wood, building, cleaning, moving things about, mulching fruit trees in our new agroforestry keyline silvopasture orchard. Along with the day-to-day horticultural growing.
**We do activities on the farm and eat lunch and dinner together on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Wednesdays and Weekends are for rest and adventure.
Please plan to arrive and depart on a Saturday or Wednesday (there are very few busses on Sundays).**
Please don't request a visit of less than a week, you really need a whole week to get into the rhythm of farm life and experience as many aspects as possible, as well as having enough time to visit the local area and beaches.
There are lots and lots of stunning views and walks, both on our land and in the local area. We have around 10 acres of woodland that includes a waterfall. The sunset from the yard is stunning. We aren't far from many awesome local beaches. We love Poppit sands, and one of our favourites is Mwnt where we have seen dolphins and other visitors have seen seal pups.
We love great food, all of what we do is to make sure we and our family have access to the best food. We have an abundance of Organic seasonal vegetables from our business, along with home raised Tamworth pork in the freezer. Eggs available depending on how the chickens are feeling. We make bread in the bread machine.
We will eat mostly vegetarian lunch and dinner together on the 4 activity days, but you will make your breakfast and some of your own meals too, and we will supply ingredients for you to cook with.
A caravan is where most Wwoofers will stay, a static caravan has multiple bedrooms and is for a few wwoofers, and another smaller tourer for a single person, couple, or small family. Kitchens and bathrooms are shared.
We can accept families depending on availability, but only sensible teenagers, no young children, they must be trusted to follow safety instructions. Some of our favourite Wwoof families have come with level headed teenagers.
