If you're reading this, we would like to say a very warm hello... We have space for mid to end May and all of June. The farm is at the beginning of its journey back to food production. As part of our Backyard Farm Project, we aim to expand our no dig vegetable and flower beds, while helping train people in the community to move into sustainable living and food production. We also run as a campsite and sauna. Some work will involve helping with the running of the campsite, pizza kitchen and sauna, which is a great opportunity to improve your English, as you will have plenty of chances to chat. Activities are wide and varied: Riding a quad bike or riding a tractor Poly tunnel erection Creating no dig veg beds Hedging Fencing Helping to care for the chickens and ducks (they are so lovely) Watering our veg beds and wild flower beds Weeding our veg beds and wild flower beds Foraging for plants, flowers and herbs, to dry out We mow pathways and camping spaces with our ride on mower, flail and quad bikes. You will be taught grass collection and composting, and how to use the quad bike Helping make wood-fired pizzas Helping on the campsite and sauna, jobs may include erecting bell tents, moving equipment, and welcoming guests We would really like people staying for 2 weeks or more. Your accommodation will be a bell tent, furnished with a bed, bedding, and carpets, or we have space in our new loft in our barn that offers Wi-Fi, a kitchen, and facilities. You will have an outside area to sit and enjoy, along with a fire pit for those important campfires. We have plenty of facilities for you: a shared kitchen and a a washing machine. Your food will be provided - we have a kitchen where you can help cook/or cook food and make drinks. We will need an essential food list of you 2 weeks before your stay so you can cook your meals. WiFi is available as part of your stay. We are a friendly bunch, and will sit together and have food, as well as help you to improve your English, if this is something you would like to do. It's all about teamwork here, so you'll be part of something very fulfilling and rewarding. Start dates from April, until September 2025 we normally take 2 WWOOFers at a time. WWOOFers days will start around 10am and finish by 4pm. The tasks will be enjoyable and on some days, physically demanding. In your spare time, you can enjoy the surrounding areas - gorgeous beaches and bustling towns are nearby. If you prefer the peace and quiet, you can enjoy the farm. We have family paddle boards that you can use if you want to explore the waterways of Sussex. Hastings old town is close by, 1066 walks and some great local pubs . We are an 1hr away from Brighton city and as 2-3 of us travel from Brighton daily you can catch a lift equally there are great rail and bus links close to the farm. We spend the summers chilling outside, chatting and watching the bats and owls hunting across the wild meadows. This is a perfect summer experience in the South of England. If you're reading this and thinking it sounds like something you would enjoy, we can't wait to hear from you. Tiz, Jules, Michelle x

J'ai passé 3 semaines incroyables à Hop and Hare Farm, c'est passé trop vite.
