Hello WWOOFers! We’re a friendly, creative, and hard-working team living on a 24-acre off-grid farm in the beautiful Scottish Borders. Our project, combines equine rescue and rehabilitation, youth and wellbeing programmes, and sustainable living. The humans here are a mix of staff, volunteers, and visiting coaches. The animals include our much-loved rescue horses, a flock of chatty chickens, and a few sheep who escape and service users dogs who think they run the place. Our farm is a mix of equine care, organic growing, and creative community projects. Depending on the season, you might: Help care for and groom our rescue horses. Tend our sensory garden, woodland spaces, and newly planted areas. Grow vegetables in our organic poly tunnel. Help maintain and improve our tiny house accommodation and community spaces. You can learn about horse care, organic gardening, sustainable building, and nature-based wellbeing practices. Every day is different — mornings often start with animal care, followed by gardening or project work, and afternoons might be for workshops, repairs, or seasonal farm tasks. WWOOFers stay in our cosy tiny house or converted spaces on the farm. We provide shared meals (vegetarian and vegan friendly), and often cook together using produce from our garden. Breakfast is usually self-serve, lunch is light and flexible, and dinner is a shared event when possible. We love music, cooking, crafting, storytelling, and sharing knowledge around the campfire. The farm is just minutes from the coast, so you can enjoy beaches, cliff walks, and wild swimming. The nearby towns have local markets, history, and cafés, and Edinburgh, Berwick-upon-Tweed, and Newcastle are within reach for day trips. We speak English and welcome people from all backgrounds.

Had a wonderful time eating, sleeping, horse riding. I looked after horses for the first time in my life, it was very rewarding. The place is very pleasant with a lovely view of the sea. I recommend it.

Hello! I’ve stayed two weeks at this farm and it was great 🥰. I learned a lot of tasks to do with horses (I didn’t have any experience but I was willing to try) and Danielle has extensive knowledge with these animals. She knows what she do! The people I work with were lovely and so nice with me. I was working outside the whole day, rain or shine, and I was happy to work physically as well. At the end of the day, I was glad to chill in the tiny and cozy house! The land where the farm is situated is remote and beautiful, with a sea view. When I left, I was a bit sad, so that means I loved being there. So if you like to learn and work outside, it’s a nice farm to go! Thanks Danielle and the whole team ❤️ Chantal from Québec, Canada
